The Hashemite Fund would like to congratulate our Project Manager, Mr. Mohammad Al-Harasha, for being awarded a fellowship from the Middle East North Africa Scholarship Programme (MSP), funded by the Government of the Netherlands. Through this fellowship, Mohammad will participate in a short training course on GIS and Remote Sensing Applications for the Water Sector. The course is offered by UNESCO-IHE, Institute of Water Education in Delft, The Netherlands.
The Hashemite Fund for Development of Jordan Badia operates several agricultural development projects through using water harvesting, well-digging and rangeland restoration projects in the Badia regions. Jordan is one of the most water scarce countries in the world, and it is vital that we focus on the responsible and sustainable use of water in our country. Participating in this fellowship will support Mohammad in his role in monitoring and evaluating the responsible use of water in the Hashemite Fund’s projects, which will contribute to protecting Jordan’s indigenous biodiversity.
