The Regulatory Framework for Investment Activities

Most areas in the Badia regions are classified within Jordans third level for income and services taxes, in which most projects are subjected to tax exemptions of up to 75% for a period of ten years. Agricultural and industrial projects, hotels, hospitals, shipping, and railways are subject to these tax exemptions and exceptions established by the Investment Promotion Law. It is believed that this framework will enhance the national efforts to attract investment to the Jordan Badia and thus help improve the utilization of its natural resources.
